Dresden Robert Miller

Doug and Jen had their little boy on Sunday the 18th at 11:52 p.m. He weighed 7lbs 14oz and was 20.5 inches long. Jen is amazing and handled labor so well! Little Dresden was having problems breathing so he has been in the NICU but he was released today and is now in the hospital room. I can't wait to get up there and hold the cute little stink!

Draven's New Pet

Saturday we went up to Preston so that Kurt could work on my mom's sprinkler system and flower beds. While we were there Draven found a snake in my mom's garage. My mom mentioned that when my brothers were younger they would put them in jars and keep them. . . so of course Kurt thought that was a great idea. So, my mom and Kurt helped Draven catch the snake and put him in a jar. Draven loved the little guy and played with him off and on all day. Luckily, I convinced them we should let the little snake go before we headed home.

Boating

This last weekend was so nice! We decided to go boating on Friday afternoon because it was such a beautiful day. It was a blast and we even convinced my mom to go. Kurt and Doug were the only ones brave (or dumb) enough to get in the water, but it was fun watching them and just enjoying the nice weather. After boating we barbecued hamburgers and hotdogs - a perfect afternoon in my opinion.

Josh's Birthday

This last Saturday we celebrated Joshy's birthday by riding on the Heber Creeper (the Heber Valley Rail Road) and then having dinner and cake at Barb's house after. Josh is only three days younger than Draven so it is a lot of fun for them to play together. In fact, Draven asks for Barb's house and Joshy at least every other day.

Kurt ended up not being able to go last minute due to school so Draven and I rode down with Mom, Bill, Nicole and Dawson. We stopped at Ikea and Cabelas before making it to Heber. It was a lot of fun but a very long day . . . Nicole, Mom and Bill were such great help with Draven which I really appreciated! I can tell I am getting close to the end of the pregnancy since my feet were huge by the time I got home. Kurt gave me two foot massages (that isn't one per foot. . . he actually gave me two complete foot massages). What a wonderful hubby!

Draven's Birthday

We had a great time celebrating Draven's 3rd birthday. Kurt's sister, Teresa, and her family came over and stayed Friday night at our house. It was Kolton's (Draven's cousin) 6th birthday on Friday and Draven's on Saturday so it was fun to have them celebrate together. We went to the Fun Park on Friday night and let the kids play in the softplay. Then Saturday we took the kids to the Hill Air Force Museum. When we got home we had birthday cake for both Kolton and Draven. It was a lot of fun to see Teresa and Lorin and it was great that Drave got to spend some time with his cousins. Drave's grandma and grandpa Miller were in Florida so they called Saturday and sang to him. I wish I could have recorded his reaction because it was adorable. He smiled and laughed through the whole song. On Sunday we had another little party with my family. Jen made a car cake that Draven loved and he got to open even more presents . . . spoiled boy.

Draven making a wish. . . it only took a few tries.

Kurt's Birthday

So, I am a little late since Kurt's birthday was a week ago. I can't believe he is 31 - no wonder he is falling a part (he has been in physical therapy and has had a bunch of other procedures done in the last few months). It was a pretty sad birthday since we were both wiped out from spring break. We had cake on Sunday because Kurt thought he would be to busy catching up at school on Monday.

Spring Break

The excitement level in our life has decreased drastically in the last few months. I will admit that we are just not much fun right now. So, Kurt's spring break was refreshing and more excitement then we have seen in a long time. Granted we weren't hanging out together but I think we both had a fairly good week. Here is a day by day account. The excitement began a little early so we really had about a week and a half of fun.

Thursday (March 13): Derek, Lindsey, and Logan (Kurt's bro., his wife, and their little boy) stayed the night. They were on their way from Bozeman, MT to Tooele to visit Lindsey's grandma. Logan is so cute and I always love to see Derek and Linds.

Friday: We went to Angie's for breakfast (Kurt missed out because of school). That evening Richard (Kurt's dad) showed up and spent the night. Draven loves Richard. I don't mean just love - I mean really loves Richard. It is really cute but the poor man can't go anywhere without Drave right behind him or all over him.

Saturday: Kurt and Richard left for St. George to spend the week with Luke (Kurt's other brother). Draven and I left for Barb's house (my sister). Barb and I spent the day hanging out, working on her house, and then taking the kid's clothes shopping. Ohhh, and not to be forgotten we ate those yummy yummy cheese fries at Training Table for dinner. Drave had a great time playing with his cousins and it was really great to spend sometime with Barb.

Sunday: Spent the night at Barb's Saturday night so Drave and I headed home. We both crashed as soon as we got to our house. I think we both slept for a good three hours! You can tell our partying level is just not up to the standard it should be. Derek and fam showed back up in the afternoon to spend the night. We all went to Olive Garden for dinner and just had a good time visiting.

Monday: I have definitely sunk to a new level. I woke up and could not even walk from going up and down Barb's stairs all day on Saturday. So, I called in sick and Drave and I just lounged around.

Tuesday: Draven started running a fever at 4 in the morning . . . so didn't get much sleep. The girls in the family (Mom, Nicole, Jen, and I) went to Barb's house and tried to do some work to help her out. Then we went to dinner with Barb once she was off work. It was great to spend the day with the girls but I was still walking pretty funny and Drave was struggling from lack of sleep and the fever. Speaking of which, when Mom and Nicole dropped us off - Drave threw up. I was really grateful my Mom was there!

Wednesday: Another sleepless night. Draven did well but I couldn't sleep because I was worried he would throw up again. I woke up with a cold. I guess all of the playing was starting to take it's toll. Draven seemed much better - must of been a 24 hour thing.

Thursday: Janet and her family came down from Bozeman, MT for the day. I wasn't feeling the greatest but I wasn't going to miss out on seeing her and the fam. So, Draven and I took naps and then went to Preston for the evening. Janet made this really yummy dinner and we played games. It was a great time! I have to take a second here and tell you how amazing my nephews are. Two days later, on Saturday, they both competed in state wrestling for Montana. Isn't that AWESOME!! I think it is the neatest thing.

Friday: I think this was the only day that I actually worked and was productive. The cold was still lingering but I have managed to evade the flu so far. Draven went to daycare and I think he was actually really excited to get back to our routine.

Saturday: Richard dropped Kurt off in the early afternoon. Draven was so excited to have his daddy back and I was relieved. Kurt had a great time in St. George and enjoyed his much needed break. I will post some of his pictures when I get a chance.
